French bosses are not racist

How many times have we heard that young black or North African origins could not find employment because of racism business leaders? Too often! I have heard people on TV speak catastrophically and complaining of not being hired.
Well that's what put this idea into question.
Following an idea of the government to promote equal opportunities, a law was passed in 2006 to impose an anonymous CV in companies with over 50 employees. This law has never been implementing decree and has never been applied. Yet few companies have used anonymous CV today and one study has proved its ineffectiveness.
-
"A study by the Centre for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST), published in April 2011, shows that with CV registered, candidates from immigrant and / or living in ZUS (sensitive urban areas) have a ten chance of getting an interview, while other candidates had a chance in eight.
When CV is anonymous, this gap widens, with a chance of 22 for the first group against one in six chance for the second, we read in this study. "

Clearly, with anonymous CVs the so-called foreigners are still two times less stressed! Commissioner for Equal Opportunity, Sabeg, told the newspaper Les Echos that he renounced the 2006 Act to make it a requirement. The law was written by violence (high profile) in the suburbs in 2005 when North African and black minorities complained of difficulties in access to employment.
Damage ultimately, it would have avoided the traditional refrain "if I do not work is because I am Arab." This might have favored a challenge in some ... but I doubt it. Sabeg proposed that the anonymous CV remains a possibility, but not a requirement for businesses.
For the story of the opposition left / right at all costs, Faouzi Lamdaoui, adviser to the PS, François Hollande, proposes to force companies to hire minorities. If you think about it, is forcing companies to choose less competent candidates, then they are already naturally an effort to take them (since they are less anonymous CVs accepted).
This is called to take over the carpet. Can we meet the young slackers who call themselves victims of racism, is that finally they are vastly better off than French "white" because they offer a maintenance twice as often than they deserve! ![]()

However, the study found that anonymous CVs would be more effective against discrimination based on gender and age and thus favor the hiring of women and especially older people. Moral: if you want to work, study, earn experience and present a good CV. ![]()

Good article, it is true that young people should not give excuses. It's just like others who say the opposite, when they are rich and beautiful areas!
"Force companies to hire minorities" -> No matter the context or domain, this idea is a plague! Ditto for gender parity etc.. Wholesale ca clearly means "yes they are different and worse than others, but an effort is made we take them all the same ', it therefore assumes that there is a bias from the start on the skills of these minorities! And choose someone based on their age / sex / origin and not their skills is a monumental aberration.
