Las Vegas 21

Las Vegas 21 (or just 21 for the title) is not a film that will draw the names on the poster. Director Robert Luketic has not done much except Revenge of a Blonde, unpretentious comedy (however successful). And the actors are unknown (to me) except Kevin Spacey.
Yet ... we are not dealing a masterpiece, but the film will some time be remembered as know how to do the right scenarios. Can be seen as a drama, say a story that could have happened.
The film has a very long book under "Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions" by Ben Mezrich.
Ben Campbell is a brilliant student who was quickly spotted by his teacher of statistics (first photo below). It will invite to join a small group of students who will count cards in Las Vegas under his tutelage.
Ben refused on principle, if it were not the pretty Jill Taylor (4th photo) in the group ...
A lot of inconsistencies in the story and especially the behavior of the heroes that are less involved in the film. This guy, who is a math genius, made into balls as big as him. Without saying too much: such as going always in the same casino, or keep large amounts of notes hidden in his dorm room, instead of putting them in the bank like everyone else, it's not very smart ! ![]()
Excellent beginning, middle well paced, but the end is less in height. Music, often present, although the story supports.
Imdb rating: 7 / 10, my rating: 7 / 10.
Released June 4, 2008 at the cinema.

I completely agree with you, I think it's a big ad for Las Vegas, as it starts well, the story falls apart and you end limit bored ... shame! As for tickets kept in the room: I think that from a certain level of money, you can not put money in the bank without anyone ask you questions, so it not the most glaring inconsistency ... but y'en more!
The money was not earned illegally, he could well put it to the bank. M'enfin, say it was for the purposes of the film.
