Danny Boyle's film is expected as one of the champions of the Oscars 2009. The ceremony will take place Sunday, February 22 and Slumdog Millionaire is nominated in 10 different categories! :-O

Slumdog Millionaire

For those who have not yet seen Slumdog Millionaire traces the life of a young Indian poor neighborhoods, explaining how he managed to answer all the questions of the famous play Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Adapted from a novel, this film goes beyond the usual by being both funny and touching drama. Definitely a movie to watch.

Average IMDb: 8.7 / 10. My rating: 8/10.

It is the 34th highest rated movie on IMDb, is the best course of years now. Professionals Oscars will they follow the general view? This is by no means always the case. Often the contrary from favorite is not a good thing.

Answer Sunday! ;-)

Unclassifiable film, drama, funny, touching ... the image of the city of god it perfectly depicts the lives of street children in India who live in extreme poverty and who are being exploited. (I will not say more for not spoiler ^ ^)
To talk technical "filmistique" is made of a master hand with actors completely unknown but fair. And like the other films of Danny ... music and photography are always nickel :)
    I also give a 8/10

I meant in the article and I forgot that in fact in India the film has received a very bad reception, no one went to see him. People thought it was just a Western way of seeing India which did not correspond to reality. :-|

By cons I can not find where I read it. : - [

The term "slumdog" in the title of the film was also very misunderstood. Some are deemed too pejorative use, with a negative connotation. While I think it is fully justified and it's easy with the film that is not used negatively ...

But ... There are always people who criticize. That's why I'm not sure that the film won so many Oscars it. There are too many controversies (unfounded, in my case)

It's true. Either way the producers are more interested in the number of dollars of revenue as the number of Oscars! ;-)
